Marroweater in the Great Bazaar wants runes, and will pay you for them.

Runes are a part of the loot tables, and can drop anywhere in the module. You should find a fair number down in Undersigil, so this is in some ways a "starter" quest. Once you find a rune, take it to Marroweater in the Great Bazaar. He will take every rune in your inventory, and pay you 100 gold plus some experience for each rune.
While it is tempting to do this quest at low levels, turning in runes is also a great way to get through your last few levels before 30 (when adventuring becomes more of a slog). So consider saving runes you find during the level up process for later!
