Role in the Cage[]

The Prime Exchange Committee is the Factions way of interfacing with the Primes. Since the Athar are keen on proselytizing their Great Unknown to the masses, but unfortunately for them, making them an enemy of every other Power, they've honed skills to remain covert and undetected in the places False-Powers have strength. The Primes, or sometimes known as the Faith-Mines, are one such a place.

Many Primes have little to no interaction with the Planes, and introducing these concepts without destroying society can be tricky. Thankfully, the Athar have no intention of ruining the lives of potential converts, and so take their role very seriously, and with discretion. Introducing Planar talk, words, information, spells and goods. Slowly but surely, incorporating Primes into the wider fabric of the Multiverse.

Factor Caylean is in charge of this, a miracle of the Athars own creation. The tiefling, once a cripple, was healed by forsaking the False-Powers in the Shattered Temple, and is now a spritely, jovial ranger, keen to map out and contact all the various Clueless the Multiverse has to offer.

It's not a big branch, on account of most Sigilians having poor opinions of Primers and their ways, but that doesn't stop Caylean from offering the opportunity to anyone who wants it, not just Athar. Many skill sets are needed to integrate Primers into Planar life, and so the branch can find cutters from all walks in it, and they all tend to be a little open minded about things.

Philosophy[]

Factor Caylean is touted to be the next Factol, given that Terrance has taken such a shine to him. Unsurprisingly, the tieflings philosophy isn't much different, with a few caveats. It's not enough to simply preach and show, one must also help. It isn't False-Powers who sow the seeds, reap the harvest and bake the bread, so why do people thank them? No False-Power was helping poor Caylean when he was shuffling about the Hive Ward near death, but people did.

If Primers are the Clueless, the most in need of help, then the branch call themselves the 'Verseful', which is originally a pejorative in the Cage to denote someone as "thinking they know more about the Multiverse than they do". The philosophy behind it is simple, the Great Unknown is unknowable, so what good is that to anyone? We can sit and meditate, and think, and pray to this thing, most bashers will switch off and go worrying about where their next meal is coming from. Or we can just go out and give bashers a hand who need it, and let them know that people are there to help when Powers will not. It is people that hold the keys to belief, and the False-Powers aren't worthy of worship, because they're nasty, vindictive and cruel, even the good ones are just buttering you up for your worship!
