In addition to normal Eldritch Blast damage, the Frightful Blast forces any creature struck to make a Will save or become Frightened for 10 rounds, taking a -2 penalty to attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks. Creatures with more HD than your Warlock Caster Level are not effected by the fear effect.
