The Expansionists, also known as the Growers, were a faction that believed that everything worthwhile in the Multiverse grows - and so should you. An acorn expands into a tree. A tree expands into a forest. This expansion is the goal of the universe. Things build up as often as they fall apart. If something does fall apart, then it obviously didn't fit in with the multiverse's plan. Anything that does grow is meant to keep growing and improving.
Individuals should improve, expand and grow. Factions (specifically the Expansionists) should expand and grow. Essentially, the Expansionists were the exact opposite of the Doomguard. Where the Doomguard advocate entropy and decay, the Expansionists advocated growth and renewal.
In modern times, the Expansionists are a small, stubbornly growing Sect that, after being faced with repeated extinction, keeps growing back again.
History[]
The faction was very popular in the City of Doors. So popular, that they decided to try take over the entire city. Unfortunately, their Factol, Vartus Timlin, was foolish enough to publicly state their intentions.
In -875Ha, 12 factols of the city interceded with the Lady of Pain to stop the spread of the Expansionists. Apparently their intercession was successful, because Factol Vartus Timlin of the Expansionists was mazed soon after and the faction was destroyed. Rumors have persisted ever since that they might still be out in the planes.
History On the Server[]
In 131Ha there was a plot in the City of Doors to bring back Factol Vartus Timlin. The Growers had infiltrated several factions in order to conduct a ritual to release Timlin from his Maze. The plot was foiled by Factor Rhistel Aidan and Doomlord Mauric Ashterot.
