The Eladrin are the native race of Arborea, just as the baatezu are associated with Baator and the tanar’ri with the Abyss. They’re wild and free-spirited beings who exult in their own existence and live a life of song and celebration. Eladrins aid all people of good hearts against the forces of evil, but seek to do so with individual acts of kindness or heroism.
In appearance, Eladrins are similar to elves albeit taller and more muscular. Although no less beautiful than other celestial beings, Eladrins have a fey, somewhat wild look in comparison, for example, to the stately beauty of the archons.

Ability Adjustments: +4 Strength,+2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma
Darkvision: Eladrins can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Arboreal Immunity: Eladrin are 25% immune to electricity, and immune to petrification. These immunities grow stronger for those Eladrin who advance in the Bralani, Firre, or Ghaele racial prestige class.
Arboreal Resistance: Damage resistance to cold and fire of 10.
Natural Armor: Eladrin have supernaturally enhanced flesh, granting them a natural armor (stacking) bonus of +1.
Alternate Form: An Eladrin can shift between its humanoid form and that of an incorporeal, glowing ball of light. This form changes and becomes more powerful for Bralani, Firres, and Ghaeles.
Spell Resistance: Eladrins have innate spell resistance of 11 + character level.
Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass Eladrin suffers an XP penalty, his highest-level class does not count.
Level Adjustment +3: Eladrins are more powerful and gain levels more slowly than other races. It will take more experience for an Eladrin to reach level 2 than it would for normal races, for example.
