Type of feat: Epic
Prerequisite: Grey Slaad 9, Epic Level
Specifics: Some Gray Slaadi undergo a mysterious ritual which transforms them into veritable killing machines known as Death Slaadi. A Death Slaad’s damage reduction improves to 15/lawful. In addition, they may use the following spell-like abilities a total of three times per day combined, as a caster of half their character level:
Circle of Death[]
Base Level: 6
Range: Self
Area: 40-foot radius burst
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates
Spell Resistance: Yes
A circle of death snuffs out the life force of living creatures, killing them instantly.
The spell slays 1d4 HD worth of living creatures per caster level (maximum 20d4). Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first; among creatures with equal HD, those who are closest to the burst’s point of origin are affected first. No creature of 9 or more HD can be affected, and Hit Dice that are not sufficient to affect a creature are wasted.
Cloak of Chaos[]
Base Level: 8
Range: Short
Target: One creature/level
Duration: One round/level
A random pattern of color surrounds the subjects, protecting them from attacks, granting them resistance to spells cast by lawful creatures, and causing creatures that strike the subjects to become damaged.. This abjuration has four effects.
First, each warded creature gains a +4 deflection bonus to AC and a +4 resistance bonus on saves.
Second, each warded creature gains spell resistance 25 against lawful spells and spells cast by lawful creatures.
Third, the abjuration blocks possession and mental influence, just as protection from law does.
Finally, if an enemy succeeds on a melee attack against a warded creature, the offending attacker takes 2d4+1 magic damage.
Power Word: Blind[]
Base Level: 7
Range: Short
Target: One creature with 200 hp or less
Duration: Special
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes
You utter a single word of power that causes one creature of your choice to become blinded, whether the creature can hear the word or not. The duration of the spell depends on the target’s current hit point total: 50 or less the effect is permanent, 51-100 1d4+1 minutes, and 101-200 1d4+1 rounds. Any creature that currently has 201 or more hit points is unaffected by power word: blind.
